Man Bouquet 2 :)

{We've moved! Visit us at our new and improved blog at: Texas Craft House}

Hello!

Tonight we are going to my sister and brother-in-laws to celebrate his 30th birthday. I have been wanting to make another man bouquet and I thought he would love one too. I've made a man bouquet before and loved it the first time (so did my husband!). This time I thought I would use a beer mug instead of a flower pot. It looks even better!

  1. I made a man bouquet for my husband for Father's Day and it was a HUGE hit. He kept telling all of his friends about it. I used a flower pot but I LOVE the beer mug idea!!

    1. Have you tried it with a hot glue gun?? I'm making for my mother next week and would prefer to use hot glue instead of tape.

  3. I have not tried it with a hot glue gun but I think that is a great idea! Next time I make one I am going to try that! Let me know how it turns out for you. :)

    1. Hot glue worked just fine! I did use tape on a few items that were in thin wrappings or that I thought would be damaged by the hot glue. I will be making more of these! (I used makeup, chocolate, alcohol miniatures, nail polish, etc. for a female version of this alternative bouquet)

    1. At any liquor store... you might have to ask where they are because some places keep tgem behind the counter. I've always found mine right by the register.:)

  6. Love this!! Think I might make one for my husband and use a stocking. Seems like a good way to make stocking stuffers really stand out. I did have a question: do you think, rather than tape, I could use hot glue? I'd be worried about the stuff falling off of the sticks.

    Really wonderful idea!!

  7. I think hot glue would work even better! :) I like the idea of it being a stocking stuffer, too!

  8. Can I ask what size beer mug you used? I'm trying to order one online but I'm not sure exactly what size would work best. Thanks! :)

  9. I would get at least 24oz - maybe even 36oz. It's easier to work with the bigger you get. :) Any size would be fine if you end up with something smaller though.

  10. you can use yellow tissue paper and cotton balls and make it look like a frothy beer or brown for a root beer! I have done something similar with a styrofoam cool or a beer tub filled the bottom with newspaper then layered items like a baseball cap and boxers in the front on up using different size sticks and items to create a nice bouquet of manly stuff!

  14. Love it! I did 3 in ice buckets - one for each son for Christmas last year. AND ... the girls didn't want alcohol, so I found big glass "Jars" with lids that I FILLED with chocolates .... I put them out on the comfy chairs (living room) during dinner, and the "kids" found them after dinner - starting up Christmas all over again!
